Did this last night while watching the movie The Secret of Rohn Inish – a family favorite to watch around St. Patrick’s Day time – just a great movie. Anyhow, it is a download I got from Ravelry – it will felt into a little bag that you hang on your spinning wheel and you store your spinning wheel tools in it. A very fast knit.
I have discovered much to my dismay that I ordered the wrong size needles from Knitpicks and now I am in a snoot about it! By the time I discovered it I already had the email from them stating it was enroute. Poop. I still can start my practice moebius piedce but I will now have to reorder etc. to get the right needle to do the bum basket that is in the book. I hate when I find out I am such an idiot!
Later…… same day……
I came home from church and finsihed my little bag and then into the washer it went with my pumpkin pin cushion and ta da!!!!
It is on the drying rack with the fuzzy pumpkin —-I see the white is a little uneven but I will fix that. It has a box inside of it to help it dry with the rectangle shape. It has a handle that you can’t see.
I will say this, the pattern called for worsted weight wool and size 11 needles. But I think size 11 needles makes the stitches too big and I don’t like the finished results. Next time if a pattern calls for size 11 needles, I will think about using a bulky weight wool or double the threads. You learn as you go with felting….. that is what makes it so exciting!
My Sunday school lesson went well – we got talking and sharing and playing a game about how Daniel trusted God and the Lord did not fail him…….. and the time just flew! I didn’t get to do my word search game or talk about another aspect of the character of Jesus. Here is the book I am getting help with the lessons…… “13 Very Bad Days and How God Fixed Them”. Great stuff!
Well, time for me to get my hedgehogs out for bonding time. I think I will dedicate a whole entry to just exactly what I do to bond with my pogs – I think you will find it fun and interesting!
