I have decided that I might be more able to blog on a regular basis if I assign “themes” to my days. I have seen it done in other’s blogs, so I am going to give it a try. So far I have: Work in Progress Wednesday and Knitting Quote Thursday. Of course, I can always add other thoughts and other themes to the assigned days, this just helps me to focus better and stay more regular with my entries.
So here is my work in progress for Wednesday – actually, it is a finish for Wednesday.
Felted baby booties.
The baby shower for the new Momma is tomorrow and I got these done just in time. You will remember that I was also under a ton of pressure to finish a baby bonnet. Well, it is not done and it won’t ever be!!! I worked until midnight on Monday night knitting and there was just so much more to do. Then I hit a snag in the pattern and just threw the whole thing in my knitting basket and have determined to set up my ball winder and pull the whole thing apart. I’m like that. I told my husband that I am not a knitter who likes or wants to work under pressure. That will be the last time I do that. When I am struggling to get something done under pressure there is NO JOY in the knitting process for me.
I made these felted booties weeks ago and the only thing I had to do last night was sew the buttons on. That is not pressure.
The other work in progress is my Cat Bordhi moebius Red Rose Cat Bed. I am doing the I-cord bind off on over 200 stitches so it is taking me longer than I would like. But my feline girls are patient so I am good with that.
Think it is time for a photo of them:
I know, it is not a picture of their faces but it shows them together which is sometimes an impossible task! They are watching the birdfeeder I have hanging right next to my kitchen window. Raina is on the left, and Misha is on the right.
I also put aside my sock finishing project to get that baby bonnet done, so I can now get that back out and finish that as well.
It’s all good now, the pressure is off.
