I thought this week dragged, and I really don’t have a specific reason why I felt that way. I think a lot of it had to do with the 4 days of cold rain that really brought out the sluggish thoughts in me.
But the sun is shinning bright today, not a cloud in the sky. It is still a little chilly, but that doesn’t matter to me as that gives me an excuse to pull out yet another pair of socks to match up with my sandals! These are wild! (I love them!)
In the driveway on my way out the door.
I am currently working on doing two socks at a time (top down) and keep forgetting to take a picture. I am working on the practice toddler socks and ended up ripping out the beginning ribbing last night. As I was sailing around the rows I noticed that one side of both pair of socks were longer than the other – so I ripped it all out and started over. (Good way to practice the cast on right? Making lemonade out of lemons here!) The author of the book said to place a stitch marker at the beginning of each sock’s round – and overly confident me did NOT! Mistake! By not putting the markers in I was double knitting one side and making both socks lopsided!
All better now. I was able to work several rounds to make sure I was now getting it right before I went to bed. Raina decided to lounge on Momma’s lap while she was flopping yarn cakes and loops around. She felt the need to taste the cable on my circular needle a couple times but settled down after a few minutes (thank goodness!).
The shower for Kelly was last night and it was a complete success! She is so adorable as a soon to be Momma!
