It was HOT on July 11th in 1987. DARN hot! (Just like now!) I had long sleeves, a full length gown, with a tall standup collar. I made my poor Daddy wear a three piece WOOL suit (and my future husband as well). Our service was held in a tiny church with NO open windows and NO air conditioning…….. anything I did to make my hair look nice, was totally gone within 5 minutes.
I didn’t notice. I didn’t care. I was about to give myself to my best friend and I was totally not worrying about anything!!!!!
That is my husband and I in the picture on the left. The lovely couple in the picture next to ours is a picture of my grandparents (my Mom’s folks) at my Mom’s wedding.
We went out to dinner on Wednesday to one of our fave restaurants – a Greek restaurant – Symeon’s. Stuffed grape leaves, moussaka, spanakopita, tzatziki dip and gyros!!!! YUM! We had a wonderful time and ate way too much! We ate at Symeon’s on our FIRST anniversary as well and did the same thing- had a wonderful time and ate too much!
Thanks Honey for 25 faithful years of friendship and love. You are a wonderful husband, and a hard working provider to your family and a loving father. Thanks for loving me even though I have too much yarn (and need to buy more), always want more needles (could honestly make do with what I have) and support me when I scream “STOP! There is a yarn shop!”
